Description
A commemorative sports memorabilia plaque honoring Cal Ripken Jr. and his record-breaking 2,131st consecutive game played. The assembly is mounted on a rectangular wood-grain finished base. The upper portion features a color photograph of Ripken at bat at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland, with the record-setting number 2131 displayed on the stadium scoreboard. Below the photograph is an engraved brass-toned plate with black text documenting the event on September 6, 1995, against the California Angels. To the right of the plate is a 1982 Topps Baltimore Orioles Future Stars rookie card featuring Cal Ripken Jr., Bob Bonner, and Jeff Schneider. The card is housed in a protective plastic case and identified by a small metal plate inscribed ROOKIE CARD.
Condition: The plaque is in good overall condition with minor shelf wear consistent with age and handling. All components, including the photograph, card, and metal plates, appear securely mounted.
