Description
This item is a German World War I Model 1913 Kugelhandgranate, also known as a ball hand grenade. The object is constructed from a cast iron body with a metal alloy fuse adapter. The spherical body is characterized by a heavy grid of external fragmentation segments. A threaded fuse adapter or transport plug is seated at the top of the grenade. This adapter shows remnants of red paint. No manufacturer marks, numbers, or unit attributions are visible on the pitted surface of the cast iron or the adapter. The item is inert and contains no hazardous components.
