Description
This item is an Imperial German Model 1915 n/A (neuer Art) Kugelhandgranate, a standard fragmentation hand grenade utilized during the First World War. The grenade features a spherical body cast from iron, characterized by a deep external fragmentation grid designed to facilitate the dispersal of shards upon detonation. The upper section of the body is fitted with a friction-pull fuse assembly, which includes a visible vent hole on the side of the housing and a twisted wire pull ring. The base of the unit displays a central circular indentation, a remnant of the casting and filling process. No manufacturer marks or date stamps are visible on the surface due to oxidation. The item is inert and contains no explosive filler.
