Description
A pair of original WWII-era US Army paratrooper jump boots manufactured by the International Shoe Co. These boots feature a high-top design in brown leather with a reinforced capped toe and a twelve-eyelet lacing configuration. The construction includes leather soles with attached rubber heel taps. The interior shaft of the right boot contains a legible black ink stamp identifying the manufacturer as International Shoe Co., the production date as March 5, 1943, and the size as 8 1/2 E. A partial contract number beginning with W and QM is also visible. The interior of the tongue bears a separate stamp reading BURNS U.S.A. The waist of the leather sole is incised with the size 8 1/2 E. The rubber heel taps are marked with a circular logo containing the text LIGHT-TREAD. Leather laced
