Description
This lot consists of a WWII German Luftwaffe winter flight helmet, identified by the interior label as the Baumuster LKp W 101 model, paired with flight goggles. The helmet is constructed of dark brown pebbled leather with reinforced vertical and horizontal seams. It features integrated hard-shell ear cups designed to accommodate radio telecommunication components. The interior is fully lined with thick, cream-colored sheepskin shearling for high-altitude insulation. The chin strap is made of matching brown leather and utilizes a metal double-D ring buckle system. The accompanying Auer Model 295 goggles feature metal frames with tinted glass lenses and a brown leather face cushion. The goggle assembly is held by a tan elasticized fabric strap with a metal slide adjuster. A cloth manufacturer label is sewn into the interior shearling and contains the following printed text: Kopfhaube Gr., Baumuster LKp W 101, Ger?t-Nr 124-436 A, Werk-Nr / K H s l, Anf. Z L 26618, and Hersteller. The label also displays red ink inspection stamps, including a circular mark containing the number 310.
