Description
This US Marine Corps enlisted dress blue cap is consistent with the M1912 or P1917 pattern utilized during the World War I era. The headwear is constructed with a dark blue wool body featuring a high bell-shaped crown and scarlet red piping. Centered on the front is a gold-tone brass Eagle, Globe, and Anchor insignia. The cap is fitted with a brown leather chin strap secured by two brass side buttons embossed with the USMC emblem. The visor is made of brown leather with a green-finished underside. The interior contains a brown leather sweatband and a black crown lining. No manufacturer marks or contract stamps are visible on the interior surfaces.
