Description
An original German WWI M16 Stahlhelm featuring the classic combat profile with prominent side lugs for attachment of a Stirnpanzer brow plate, retaining its period shell showing age, wear, and patina throughout. The interior liner is present but worn and partially deteriorated, consistent with age and use. A shield-style decal is visible on the exterior, that appears to be transitional period. Overall, this helmet presents as a genuine Great War example with honest condition, making it an attractive display piece for collectors of early German steel helmets and World War I militaria.
