Description
This is a German Stahlhelm Modell 1935 (M35) double decal police helmet manufactured by Eisenhuettenwerke in Thale. The shell is constructed of stamped molybdenum steel featuring the characteristic reinforced rolled edge and separate, inserted ventilation bushings. The exterior is finished in a smooth, dark olive-green factory paint. The left side of the helmet displays the silver-grey Polizei eagle decal on a black shield, while the right side features the National Socialist Party decal consisting of a black swastika in a white circle on a red shield. The interior contains an original M31 leather liner secured by a metal liner band and three retaining rivets. The tan leather liner features eight perforated fingers and includes the original drawstring. A brown leather chinstrap with a metal buckle is attached to the liner D-rings. The inner side rim is stamped with the manufacturer and size mark ET62, and the rear inner rim is stamped with the production lot number 4396.
