Description
United States Air Force Type K-2B Very Light flying suit in sage green cotton twill. This garment features a multi-pocket configuration with brass zippers located on the chest, sleeves, and legs. The interior neck retains a black woven manufacturer label identifying the item as Coveralls, Flying, Men’s, Very Light, Type K-2B, Size Small Short. The label lists the manufacturer as Mason and Hughes, Inc. with a contract date of February 12, 1959, and specification MIL-S-6265C (USAF). The right chest is adorned with an embroidered circular patch for the 92nd Bomb Wing (Heavy) depicting a stylized tail fin with a red lightning bolt and sword. The left chest features a white cotton name tape with the name HART in black block letters. Both shoulders are fitted with sewn-on Captain rank insignia in silver-grey and white. The suit includes an integrated waist adjustment system and zippered leg cuffs.
