This collection consists of antique and vintage hats along with associated millinery ephemera. The group includes a Victorian-era black silk plush top hat manufactured by Milton, London. The interior crown features a stamped crest citing appointments to Queen Victoria, the Prince of Wales, and Napoleon III, located at 154 Regent Street. The hat is constructed with a flared crown, narrow curled brim, and wide grosgrain ribbon. Also included is a dark-stained woven straw boater hat by Knox, New York, retailed by WM. H. Allen of Watertown, New York. This hat features a flat crown, wide pleated terracotta fabric band, and a lined interior with a yellow ribbon bow.
