Description
A trio of vintage lithographed metal pocket tobacco tins. Two of the items are Revelation Smoking Mixture tins, identified on the lithography as a Philip Morris Product. These tins feature a cream-colored body with red and black accents. The front displays the brand name Revelation in red serif lettering above a black oval containing the words Smoking Mixture. Below this is the cursive script A Philip Morris Product and the slogan The Perfect Pipe Tobacco / It’s Mild and Mellow. The reverse of these tins contains a text box stating the mixture is blended from an old private formula and identifies the manufacturer as Philip Morris and Co. Ltd., Inc., New York and London, Made in U.S.A., Factory No. 15, Virginia. The third item is a Half and Half Smoking Tobacco tin with a green, cream, and black color scheme. The front design includes a diagonal cream-colored band reading Half And next to a black section labeled Buckingham Bright Cut Plug Smoking Tobacco. The reverse of the Half and Half tin features promotional text for Genuine Lucky Strike and Rare Old Buckingham tobacco. 4.25 H x 3 W x 1 D inches per tin .
