Description
A group of four vintage metal smoking accessories and souvenir items. The collection includes a silver-toned metal matchbox sleeve featuring decorative Greek motifs; one side depicts the helmeted head of Athena with an owl and Greek text, while the reverse shows the Parthenon, both framed by a Greek key border. Also included is a cast brass combination chamberstick and matchbox holder, designed with a rectangular base featuring raised acanthus leaf decoration, a flared candle cup, and a curved gooseneck handle. The third item is a brass matchbox sleeve with a central circular medallion of carved light-colored stone, possibly soapstone, depicting a bird amidst foliage, set against a ground of repeating stamped circles; the reverse features a stamped New York City skyline. The final item is a lithographed tin souvenir matchbox sleeve showing color views of the U.S. Capitol and the White House in Washington, D.C., with dark green enameled edges.
