Description

WWII German SS Officer’s Circular Dress Belt Buckle with Black Leather Waist Belt and Adjustable Cross-Strap, Reverse Marked RZM, SS Runes in Diamond, and Overhoff & Cie (O&C) Lüdenscheid Maker’s LogoOffered here is an officer’s-pattern circular belt buckle for the Schutzstaffel, presented complete with its accompanying leather waist belt and adjustable leather cross-strap harness. The reverse of the buckle carries a cluster of stamped devices consistent with RZM control markings, SS runes enclosed within a diamond, and an oval trademark resembling the Overhoff & Cie logo of Lüdenscheid, a firm long associated with SS-pattern buckle production. The circular buckle pattern seen here was standard officer’s dress equipment across both the Allgemeine-SS and the wartime Waffen-SS, worn with the black or field-grey service uniform as part of a rigging that could include an adjustable cross-strap passing diagonally over the right shoulder to the belt. The obverse design is immediately recognizable to collectors of the period: a stylized national eagle grips an oak wreath enclosing a mobile swastika, the entire device encircled by the SS motto ‘Meine Ehre heißt Treue’.
