Description
WWII USAAF Nurse Phonola Record Player – Capt./Maj. Mary Ann Grossinck. World War II-era Phonola portable suitcase gramophone attributed to U.S. Army Air Forces nurse Captain/Major Mary Ann Grossinck. Per the consignor, she took this player with her throughout her service in WWII and Korea. Red-painted wooden case with handle and latches; interior Phonola badge, turntable with a Silvertone 78 on the platter, tonearm with metal reproducer, winding crank, and mesh acoustic grille. Needs cleaning; will play but sticks. Exterior paint heavily worn with wood showing through. Condition as shown.
