Description
This Hitler Youth member dagger is a mid-period production example featuring the manufacturer mark for Carl Julius Krebs of Solingen. The single-edged steel blade has a rounded tip and does not feature an etched motto. The ricasso is stamped with the stylized RZM logo within a circle followed by the code M7/5. The hilt is composed of plated base metal with a single-sided crossguard and black checkered plastic grip plates held by two rivets. An enamel Hitler Youth diamond insignia is inset into the obverse grip, featuring red and white checkered fields and a black swastika on a silver-toned background. The pressed steel scabbard has a black painted finish and is fitted with a riveted leather frog and a securing strap with a snap fastener.
