Description
This is an authentic, modern-issue U.S. Military Pilot Survival Knife, clearly identified by the affixed specification label as conforming to the military standard MIL-K-8662E. The knife was manufactured by the Ontario Knife Company in June 1990, as indicated by the date 6/90 on the label, and features the National Stock Number 7340-00-098-4327. This robust fixed-blade knife is commonly known as the Air Force Survival Knife and is designed for use by pilots and aircrews. The knife features a heavy clip-point blade with a durable black oxide finish and a saw-back spine for utility. The handle is made of stacked leather washers, secured by a large, slotted steel butt cap, which can be used for hammering.
