Description
LARGE This NCO did 2 tours with SOG. The first tour was with FOB#3 with Command Control South, CCS. 1967-1968. The second tour was with STRATA at MMFOB, -Monkey Mountain Forward Operating Base- 1970-1972. SOG decided to initiate a new program whose missions would be shorter in duration, conducted closer to South Vietnam, and carried out by smaller teams. Every effort would be expended to retrieve the teams when their missions were accomplished. This was the origin of STRATA, the all-Vietnamese Short Term Road watch and Target Acquisition teams
