his is a high-quality modern era reproduction of the legendary United States Army Air Forces Type A-2 Flight Jacket manufactured by Cooper Sportswear Mfg. Co. Inc. While Cooper was an original wartime contractor this specific garment dates to the modern era likely the late 1980s or 1990s following the United States Air Force s decision to reintroduce the leather A-2 to service in 1988. Constructed from durable dark brown goatskin leather this jacket adheres to the classic military configuration with snap-down collar epaulets and dual patch pockets but features the modern addition of a velcro hook-and-loop panel on the left chest for a removable leather name tag. The interior features the iconic orange and blue Cooper winged label alongside a white specification tag reading Size 44R GAC 201-01-8101M.
