Description
This limited edition offset lithograph, titled Desert Victory, is by aviation artist Nicolas Trudgian. The artwork depicts a squadron of Messerschmitt Me 109Fs flying over the Libyan desert in February 1942, with Afrikakorps armor on the ground and a crashed P-40 Kittyhawk of 112 Squadron in the foreground. The print is numbered 317/600 in pencil in the lower-left margin. It bears four distinct hand-signed pencil signatures in the lower margin belonging to Nicolas Trudgian, Friedrich Korner, Eduard Neumann, and Gunther Rall. A printed remarque depicting a field gun and crew is located in the lower-right margin. The work is professionally housed in a black frame with a blue outer mat and a thin orange-red inner mat.
