Description
This lot features three vintage leather-covered matchbox holders. The first is a book-form holder in brown tooled leather, featuring an embossed scene of a knight on horseback on one side and a circular portrait motif on the other. The spine is tooled with geometric patterns and the text TOMO I and ESPANA, with ESPANA also appearing on the side edge. The second item is a vesta case style holder with a leather-wrapped body and white metal end caps featuring rope-twist borders. One end is fitted with a hinged lid. The leather body displays a faint tooled landscape and the vertical inscription TOLEDO. The third item is a green textured leather matchbox holder with a gold-tooled double-line rectangular border. This holder contains a standard sliding wooden matchbox tray.
